Like the art illustrating this site, counselors come in different sizes, shapes and approach – each one is unique, with special talents and skills.

My background, training and experience are unique, too.

Unlike that of many other clinicians, my practice reflects the integration of my business background and clinical expertise.

What I Bring to My Work and Life

  • Creative thinking
  • Irreverent sense of humor
  • Deeply felt humanist values
  • Experience in taking calculated risks to effect change
  • Ability to connect with others in meaningful ways
  • High ethical standards
  • Accepting people for who and where they are
  • Collaborating with my clients to help them get unstuck

How I Got Here

  • From many self-doubts to healthy self-confidence
  • Married the “love of my life”
  • Raised two terrific sons as a working mother
  • Struggled to create an enriching life balance
  • Experienced personal losses and many transitions
  • Pursued a successful business career while balancing personal & professional responsibilities
  • Made a midlife career change to pursue a life-long passion

And I was raised part-way on a family farm. Click here see a picture of that  farm, painted by my brother.

About My Private Practice

My clients and I benefit enormously from the collaboration we shape together.

My life, education and training have informed my work as a therapist and life coach.

I’ve gone through transitions that were good moves, and those that weren't so successful.  I've dealt with and learned from the many losses we all face.

I have had extensive professional and personal experience in initiating desired change, making more satisfying choices and managing the stress of transitions.

I will not judge you. You are the expert on your own life. I do not have preconceived notions about what is best  for you.

  • Develop a strategy that supports your managing risk comfortably
  • Discover and pursue new options in your life
